Who doesn't love elderflower? Such a beautiful sight and smell when out walking in the fields and along tracks at this time of year.
Having made my first batch of elderflower cordial, i had in my mind a quick batch of elderflower champagne then that would be that. However, after visiting a regular blog that i watch, i found that you could cold infuse elderflower in a variety of cold pressed oils - what a find this was! I immediately set to pick some flowers from the bottom of my garden to infuse with some lovely rich jojoba oil.
After a short time (around 10-12hrs) the jojoba oil had taken on the wonderful scent of the flowers and it was time to filter the infusion. This golden dreamy oil is now waiting to be blended with some rosehip and camelia oils to become a luxurious facial oil.
I'll post some pictures in a while....
